Why PCB stack up has only even layers and not odd layers?
The most important role of PCB is to provide electrical connectivity between devices and at the same time provide mechanical strength to the circuit. While using the PCB, it must not bend or twist or warp. This is the reason why even number of layers are considered during the stack up design. With odd layers, it creates imbalance in copper. The manufacturing processes are tailored for the even layer manufacturing which is one more reason.
