Class D amplifiers have efficiency usually up to 90% and the remaining 10% loss of energy is converted to heat. This meant Class D is a combination of performance and power. Class D amplifier is the most used audio amplifier. The audio amplifiers found in PC, laptops, mobiles are Class D type.
