World's smallest microcontroller

Texas Instruments recently introduced the world's smallest microcontroller under their MSP portfolio. MSPM0C1104 MCU which is of the size of 1.38 sq.mm can be a popular choice for applications like wearable which require small form factor devices. It has an ARM Cortex-M0+ core and is available in the DSBGA package. To compare with the other MCU in the market, is is 38% smaller in size than any other small MCU available in the market. The cost of this microcontroller is around $0.18 for 1K quantity. The chip also has an available evaluation board available in the TI website. In case you are interested in buying the evaluation board, you can follow the below link.

The look and feel of this evaluation board reminds us of the popular MSP430/432 evaluation boards.

The biggest advantage of this chip is the wide operating voltage covering 1.62V to 3.2V.
