USB2.0 vs USB3.0 connector

USB2.0 vs USB3.0 connector

USB3.0 is now popular and is a common interface available in electronics products. Even the boards like RPi4 come with USB3.0 interface. We can clearly differentiate the USB2.0 and USB3.0 interface in the below RPi4 board. USB3.0 has a blue marking on the connector which clearly indicates a Super Speed (SS) USB connector. USB2.0 connectors have black marking. Some USB2.0 connectors have white marking as well.
USB 3.0 ports can transfer data at up to 5 Gbps, which is more than 10 times faster than USB 2.0.

USB 3.0 ports are backward-compatible, meaning they can be used with devices that only support USB 2.0 or 1.X.

USB 3.1 Gen 1 or SuperSpeed+ (SS+) USB connector is slightly more green-toned than the classic blue of 3.0.
