The DC resistance of a PCB trace depends on the below parameters:

  • Trace Material (Material Resistivity)
  • Trace Thickness
  • Trace Width
  • Trace Length
  • Temperature
Trace Width and Trace Length combined together gives the Cross-sectional area of the PCB trace.

As copper is commonly used material for PCB trace, the resistivity of the copper is 1.75 x 10^-8 ohm-meter.
