Expert Opinion - Query 17 (Terminating the GATE of MOSFET)

When we are using a MOSFET and let us assume a scenario where GATE is left open in some scenarios. This meant there is neither pull-up nor pull-down on the GATE pin (not terminated). What happens in this scenario?

Whenever a MOSFET gate is floating, it might consume current. This is not a desired scenario. Even from the EMI/EMC perspective this is not a desired scenario. So, the GATE pin must be terminated. A Pull-up or pull-down must be placed.
