Electromagnetic Compatibility - 7 (EN55032 and EN55035)

Multimedia products are all over. Multimedia includes audio and video. Also, there are several products with transmission and reception capability. Some of the products include

• any audio equipment
• video equipment
• including displays
• products involving RF like the satellite communication
• products which are classified under IT
• Power supplies

All these require specific standards to be applicable and EN55032/CISPR32, EN55035/CISPR35  are used for these requirements. While EN55032 covers Emission requirements, EN55035 covers Immunity requirements. As per these products are classified as Class A and Class B. For your product to be CE compliant, this conformance has to pass. All the multimedia products operating either on AC or DC and within 600V falls under this compliance.

Terminologies:

MME - Multimedia equipment
