- Resistor R2 must be selected such that there is enough current drive to the load
- Zener diode D1 must be selected such that the GATE drive is below threshold
- It is preferred that opamp has low offset characteristics
- Ensure that R1 is selected such a way that Power dissipation of the Zener is not exceeded
