Wi-Fi HaLow is a low-power, long-range version of Wi-Fi designed for IoT (Internet of Things) applications. It’s based on the IEEE 802.11ah standard and was introduced by the Wi-Fi Alliance to address the specific needs of connected devices that require extended range, low power consumption, and strong wall penetration. Wi-Fi HaLow, belongs to 802.11ah protocol, operates in the sub-1 GHz band, offering longer range and better penetration than traditional Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi HaLow can cover up to a distance of 1km.
