What is reverse wireless charging?

The modern day gadgets support reverse wireless charging which meant you can charge another device using the gadget in hand. Reverse wireless charging also known as power share or reverse power sharing. It is is a feature that allows a smartphone or device to wirelessly charge another device like a phone, smartwatch, earbuds, or even another phone by acting as a wireless charging pad. Reverse wireless charging uses the Qi wireless charging standard. This is the same method used for normal wireless charging. Energy is transmitted through electromagnetic induction between two devices placed back-to-back or on top of each other.

Interestingly, some smartwatches and earbuds only support charging via low-power reverse wireless charging, meaning they won’t work with high-wattage wireless pads.
